Nicolas Jackson increasingly likely to leave Chelsea

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is facing a highly uncertain future and is largely expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, according to [The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6534353/2025/08/05/manchester-united-arsenal-liverpool-transfer-latest-real-madrid-window-updates/?source=emp_shared_article).

The 24-year-old Senegalese striker, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, enjoyed a decent debut campaign, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists.

However, a combination of on-field struggles, disciplinary lapses and heightened competition since then have now placed his Chelsea career at a crossroads.

The arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro look to have pushed Jackson down the pecking order, as both new signings impressed during Chelsea’s Club World Cup-winning run.

Despite having eight years remaining on his contract, Chelsea are open to offers for Jackson, valuing him between £70 million and £100 million.

The Blues have received serious interest from Premier League rivals like Manchester United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Serie A outfits AC Milan and Napoli have also made approaches, but Jackson swiftly rejected these moves, signalling a preference to remain in England, even if it means leaving Chelsea.

Jackson has publicly insisted his focus remains on Chelsea but acknowledges uncertainty about his future, stating, “The future belongs to God. If there are any changes, you’ll know. For now, I’m focused on my preparation.” in a recent interview with [Dsports_._](https://dsports.sn/nicolas-jackson-je-nai-pas-de-concurrent-je-suis-en-mission/)

Yet, his frustration is said to be growing given the persistent links of a move away from West London.

This, combined with Chelsea’s pursuit of other attacking reinforcements, makes a transfer more likely than ever.

Following their extended break from the Club World Cup, Jackson and his teammates resumed training yesterday ahead of Friday’s penultimate pre-season encounter against Bayer Leverkusen.
