Leeds United are looking to bolster their squad with a new midfielder before the Premier League season begins in less than two weeks, and a familiar face has emerged as a potential target.

Manager Daniel Farke has already been busy in the transfer market, securing several key signings this summer. Lucas Perri, Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff, Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, and Gabriel Gudmundsson have all joined the club.

However, sources indicate that Leeds are not finished, with a central midfielder being a priority before the transfer window closes in early September.

Despite the recent arrivals of Stach and Longstaff, there is a strong desire for another player to strengthen the midfield.

According to reports from GiveMeSport, Leeds are eyeing a move for former Norwich City star Gabriel Sara. The 26-year-old, currently playing for Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray, is said to be valued at around £35 million.

Sara, who spent several seasons with Norwich, left the club two years ago for Turkey. Now, he may be on the verge of returning to English football, with fellow Premier League side Aston Villa also reportedly showing interest.

A £35 million transfer fee would be a significant investment for Leeds, particularly after already adding Stach and Longstaff to the midfield. However, there’s no doubt that Sara would be a top-tier addition to Farke’s squad.

With other clubs circling, Leeds may need to act swiftly if they hope to secure Sara’s signature and reach an agreement with Galatasaray.
