Tyler Dibling has been linked with Everton all summer, and the latest update showcases a smart strategy by TFG.
Everton have seriously accelerated their transfer plans over the last 48 hours, with a deal for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall edging closer to completion.
The Toffees have been relentless in their pursuit of Dibling, who was a standout performer for the Saints despite their relegation from the Premier League.
Everton have made three bids for the forward this week, and their stance is now clear after Southampton’s response to the latest one.

Everton set to walk away from Southampton negotiations
Everton’s latest bid is believed to have amounted to £40million, and according to David Ornstein, that is still not going to be enough to prise Dibling away from the Saints.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Via X (5 August), the journalist reported that the Saints wanted a total package worth £50m, while also including a 25 per cent sell-on clause, which is said to be above Everton’s valuation.
The Toffees are now set to pursue other targets, in what is a very smart move by TFG.

Dibling is a good player, but there would be serious doubt about whether he’s a £50m player, and Everton risk overpaying massively if they were to agree to that.
Premier League sides often cave into demands like this to seal their targets, and it is refreshing to see the Toffees break the trend by seemingly walking away from the table, though that could change depending on any further updates in the coming weeks.
Everton must pursue other targets
The English market is almost always inflated, and there will be even better options for the Toffees ahead of their return to Premier League action.
The Merseysiders have recruited well so far this summer, and with the arrival of Thierno Barry, they have showcased that they aren’t afraid to scout the foreign market.
Dibling scored twice for Southampton in an FA Cup victory last season.
With that said, Everton are still in need of another wide attacker, and the hope will be that other targets can be identified soon.
