Wolves boss Vitor Pereira has made a decision on one position that needs reinforcing this window.
After a successful week in which the left-back position was addressed with David Moller Wolfe, another position is being addressed as sources link Wolves to an exciting new addition.
Since Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri left, there has been a clear priority given to the wide defensive positions in transfer talk.
But now, with one flank sorted, and progress being made on recruiting for the other, gaffer Vitor Pereira is turning his attention to the base of the side, setting his sights on a new central defender.
Chelsea’s Axel Disasi on Vitor Pereira’s wishlist as centre-back position needs addressing
Despite interest from Newcastle and Aston Villa, Wolves are now emerging as a destination for Chelsea’s Axel Disasi.
Wolves were pursuing Disasi in January, but were dealt a blow when Disasi insisted on joining Aston Villa. He would head to Villa Park on loan for the rest of the season before returning to Stamford Bridge.

Now, according to reports from SPTC, Disasi may be on his way to Molineux. Si Phillips revealed earlier: “SPTC sources have heard that Wolves are making a late drive towards a potential move to sign Disasi before the window is up.”

Chelsea are focused on getting their outgoings sorted, and they are clear on the type of deal they want here: “Chelsea want a permanent deal for Disasi and have been receiving loan to buy offers mostly so far.”
Centre-back a priority for Wolves in what’s left of the transfer window
Wolves have been busy negotiating for defenders this week, pursuing a deal for Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez, and inquiring about Brazilian centre-back Robert Renan.

Disasi is a solid defender and a strong presence on the pitch, though interest in him contradicts Pereira’s comments about wanting a left-footer in that position.
Whether this would be the final defensive addition of the window is unclear, but Disasi’s experience in the Premier League would be a solid addition to a Wolves backline that looks a little bare at present.
