Future in doubt:“Quality”£20m Liverpool ace is attracting“major interest”from multiple clubs

**Liverpool winger Ben Doak is attracting “major interest” from a host of Premier League clubs, according to reliable journalist David Lynch.**

The Scot impressed against Athletic Bilbao on Monday evening, playing a key part in the Reds’ third goal in the first friendly of the night that ended 4-1.

Doak’s Liverpool future has been in doubt throughout 2025, however, having spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, and seeing interest in him turned down by the Reds during the January transfer window.

Now, Lynch has taken to [_X_](https://x.com/davidlynchlfc/status/1952611000634466317) to provide a fresh update on the 19-year-old, claiming West Ham and Wolves are among those keen on signing him for around £20m this summer:

_“Exclusive: Ben Doak understood to be attracting major interest this summer, with West Ham and Wolves among the clubs keen. Liverpool rejected £20m offers from both Ipswich and Crystal Palace in January and the winger is the subject of similar attention in this window.”_

Liverpool must be torn about what to do with Doak, considering the Scotland international is a hugely exciting talent, being lauded by his international manager, [Steve Clarke](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/10/13/liverpool-ben-doak-praise-scotland-vs-croatia/):

_“We all know he’s rapid and often you get players who are really quick but don’t have technical ability. But you can see he has got that. His first touch is good, it takes him where he wants to go. His final ball, he’s 18 it will come, but he gets himself in really good positions to cause problems. There’s development in him but you can see he’s got that quality and awareness as well.”_

Liverpool have to decide if Doak has a long-term future at the club, and if Arne Slot considers him a genuine squad option – if not, this summer feels like the right time for him to leave permanently.

The level of interest in him speaks volumes about his potential, but the Reds are at the top of the tree currently and have to be ruthless in terms of the calibre of player they need in the squad.

Ultimately, if Slot, Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards aren’t fully convinced that he will make the grade, receiving £20m for his signature before the end of the window could be the best outcome.
