Chelsea Release Two More Players to Upgrade Summer Transfer

Chelsea are doing fine business as the club has sold two more players to raise the budget in this summer transfer window. After selling Joao Felix to Al Nassr, Chelsea have now decided to offload Ishe Samuels-Smith to French club Strasbourg. While Felix still had some involvement with the Blues, Samuels-Smith never really found the luck at Chelsea. Since joining Chelsea from Everton back in 2023, Ishe Samuels-Smith has never got the chance to play for the first team. Chelsea will get £6.5 million for the transfer of Samuels-Smith. On the other hand, Portuguese attacker Joao Felix has moved to Saudi club Al Nassr to team up with his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. Joao Felix has already made his debut in a friendly match this week. Chelsea agreed to sell Felix to Al Nassr for getting £43 million transfer fee. With these recent exits, Chelsea have upgraded their budget now.

When Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League by defeating Real Betis, the football world didn’t care much about the club’s victory. For the past seasons, the Blues have failed to do big things. Even many Chelsea fans had considered the UEFA victory as a fluke. After that, when Enzo Maresca arrived in the USA to play the FIFA Club World Cup, once again, the football fraternity didn’t give due importance to Chelsea. Chelsea got the tickets to the tournament for being the winners of the UEFA Champions League back in 2021. But Maresca’s boys kept on doing their job. Even after reaching the final, the football world labelled that as another fluke. Against all the odds, Chelsea pulled off a tactical brilliance against hot favourites PSG. Finally after clinching the title, Chelsea earned their due respect. The Chelsea fans have already begun hoping for a dream run. As a result of this, Chelsea have been doing some serious business in this summer transfer window. The Blues have made some bold decisions. Critics now expect Chelsea to go for a title race with clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Chelsea board has been doing their job before the FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea participated in the competition with their new forward Liam Delap. The young promising striker impressed many clubs with his performance last season. He had played a crucial role as Ipswich Town qualified for the English Premier League for the first time. In his debut season in the EPL, Delap showed his class. The young, English forward scored 12 goals in 37 matches last season. Chelsea hijacked the deal under the noses of many interested clubs. Even in the Club World Cup, Delap played his part confidently. Chelsea fans had another surprising signing waiting for them. Brighton forward Joao Pedro was spending his vacation after the end of the season. Out of nowhere, Chelsea completed his signing and Pedro joined the Chelsea team in the CWC. Pedro came, and indeed, he changed the game completely. Other than these two solid inclusions, Brazilian wonderkid Estevao is all set to join Chelsea from the beginning of the new season. The club has also brought in Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund. The latest reports can confirm that the club is in advanced stages to land Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons soon.

The squad size of Chelsea caused some issues last season. This time, Chelsea are making no mistake in maintaining the perfect balance in the squad. The club has already sold Kepa Arrizabalaga, Petrovic and Noni Madueke. Chelsea flop Christopher Nkunku is leaning towards a move to Nottingham Forest. Other than these names, Carney Chukwuemeka and Renato Veiga are expected to part ways. With these probable departures, Chelsea will make sure to gain as much profit as possible. This will only give them more fuel to strengthen their squad. Exciting days are ahead as Chelsea will leave no stone unturned to have a fruitful season.
