Fabio Silva is somehow still at Wolves, but potentially not for very much longer.
After flying out to Portugal for the first training camp, the striker has not accompanied the squad out in Girona, fuelling speculation that he will depart.
Fabio Silva, who had a successful loan spell with Las Palmas in 2024/25, is currently on the radars of several clubs.
Jorge Mendes is thought to be facilitating Silva’s exit from Wolves, and is looking to extract the highest possible price for Wolves.
Silva was bought for £35.6 million in the summer of 2020. And while Wolves know they won’t get near that figure, there is hope a decent fee can be banked after his exploits in Spain.
And one club looks to have now taken the lead in the race.

It has been claimed that Wolves are now in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the sale of Silva.
Dortmund have apparently offered Silva a five-year contract, and they are keen to reach an agreement with Wolves.

Molineux News had previously been informed that the Bundesliga would be Silva’s most likely next destination, and it appears the player is still on track to head to the German top-flight.

This morning, an update on Silva has arrived relating to the potential transfer fee.
Wolves are now in talks with Dortmund – and according to Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger, the transfer fee being discussed is £17 million.
But E&S journalist Liam Keen has added that Wolves are expected to ‘push for a higher price that could reach £20 million or more’.
Wolves would be doing well to get £20 million for Silva
It is widely accepted that Wolves massively overpaid for Silva back in 2020, and a considerable hit on the £35.6 million fee (BBC Sport) is inevitable.
But Wolves getting somewhere between £17-20 million for Silva would be decent business.
Fabio Silva’s Wolves record (2020-present)
Appearances – 72
Goals – 5
Assists – 6
Ultimately, he doesn’t want to be there and that has been the case for a while.
Given his struggles, and the fact he only has one year left on his contract (with Wolves holding a one-year extension option), then bringing in half of his initial fee wouldn’t be too bad all things considered.
Ideally Wolves will get a deal sorted in the coming days, and that sale money can be quickly reinvested.
