Leeds United have had a solid summer window, and could complete more business before the league kicks off. The Whites face Everton in their first game of the Premier League season.
Preparations have gone well so far, with the club remaining unbeaten on their tour. Leeds held Manchester United to a draw, before beating two German sides behind closed doors. Daniel Farke’s side face Villarreal over the weekend, and gave a good account of themselves.

Leeds had some interest in James McAtee earlier in the summer, but after recent moves, the links have died down. It has now been said that the midfielder’s next destination is most likely Nottingham Forest. That is according to Stefan Borson of Football Insider.
“I think there will be quite a lot of movement with City between now and the end of the window.
“You have got players like McAtee, who will definitely leave. The only question is what fee and to where.
“I would think he will probably end up at Forest. I think they bid £25million.
“You could see that deal happening for £30million or maybe even £25million plus add-ons.
“I think City will do that deal.”
Daniel Farke wants more additions
The plan for the next couple of weeks is to bring in an attacker. It could be more than one especially considering possible departures. Farke complained about Leeds failing to replace Manor Solomon with a new signing. Leicester’s El Khannouss is still a target.
Leeds fans will be in for a rollercoaster in the upcoming days.
McAtee would have been a great fit in midfield
The Manchester City star is exactly the player Leeds could do with. He can play as a number 10, a number eight or out wide. McAtee has an eye for goal and can be a serious threat from outside the box.
His skillset is quite unique from Leeds’ current options. Most of the midfielders specialize as defensive options or ball progressors. But if the club is to continue in their 4-3-3, they need that midfielder who can make runs into the box and score goals.
