RB Leipzig star Benjamin Šeško is currently training alone at the club as he makes a decision on a move to Newcastle United.
That’s according to journalist Philipp Hinze, who reports that the Slovenian is training individually indoors today as Leipzig continue to negotiate with Newcastle over him.
According to his information the new offer from Newcastle amounts to €90m, structured as an €80m based fee and €10m in possible add-ons. It is up to Šeško to decide how things proceed.
BILD, though, question that new bid. They say a new proposal was sent from St James’ Park on Monday evening after the initial bid was rejected over the weekend.
While reports elsewhere are saying that is worth €90m, their information is that it is €80m plus €5m in bonuses. That would seemingly make more sense given their first offer was €75m plus €5m and it would be strange for Newcastle to then jump up €10m with the second offer.
The deal is being worked on, but the newspaper backs the idea that the final decision rests with Šeško. Manchester United remain in the mix.
For now, he’s training alone as the negotiations go on between Leipzig and Newcastle, with a final decision yet to be made.
