Manchester United have submitted a bid for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils have launched an official bid of €75million (£65.2) plus €10m (£8.7m) in add-ons for the Bundesliga striker, according to David Ornstein. However, they will have to battle Newcastle for his signature, who have already seen one of their bid's rebuffed.
The Magpies submitted a revised bid on Monday after their €75million plus €5million in add-ons was knocked back and deemed insufficient by Leipzig. Newcastle have been tracking the Slovenian across the summer, with their pursuit coming during Liverpool's interest in Alexander Isak.
Eddie Howe's side have been in the market for a striker - but they lost out to Liverpool in their pursuit of Hugo Ekitike and could see their current No.9 poached by the Reds, who had their £110million rejected.
The Red Devils, meanwhile, have already strengthen their forward line this summer with the signings of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
