Kim Min-jae’s future at Bayern Munich remains far from certain.
The South Korean defender (28) was thought to have courted Premier League and Saudi Pro league interest.
However, a potentially suitable offer has yet to materialise for the Bundesliga champions and the former Napoli defender.

It’s important to note that we can’t rule out the prospect of Kim staying put at the Allianz Arena this term.
On the player’s side, he’s keen to use FC Bayern’s remaining pre-season games to determine whether or not Vincent Kompany is prepared to count on him.
There were some reassuring signs in the 2-1 win over Lyon on Saturday, as the centre-back was included in the starting-XI. Kim Min-jae played in the first half alongside Dayot Upamecano before being replaced by summer signing Jonathan Tah.
He’s hoping to be in the starting lineup once again on Thursday when Bayern take on Tottenham. The Franz Beckenbauer Supercup clash with VfB Stuttgart (August 16) will also be an important indicator.
If Kim feels that he’s the clear third-choice option, he’d be prepared to consider a change of scenery in the short term.
Bayern are open to offers for the Bundesliga defender
From Bayern’s perspective, they can’t rule out the possibility of a sale if a suitable offer lands on their doorstep.
The Bavarian giants are otherwise prepared to head into the new season with the former Serie A centre-half.
So, a new defensive signing ultimately depends on Kim Min-jae’s future.
Which Premier League clubs have been linked with Kim?
There was some reported interest from the Saudi Pro League, specifically Al-Nassr.
However, there have been far more concrete links, by comparison, coming from the Premier League.
Chelsea and Tottenham, for instance, have both been credited with interest in Kim Min-jae. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether either outfit will be encouraged to escalate such interest ahead of the summer window deadline (September 1).
Only time will tell!
