Exclusive: RB Leipzig's view on Man Utd's Benjamin Sesko bid compared to Newcastle's has been revealed

Manchester United have now made their move for Benjamin Sesko, Old Trafford sources confirm to TBR Football.

After Newcastle made an offer of €90m on Monday, TBR Football can confirm that Manchester United have offered €85m. They believe that it shows Leipzig and Sesko just how serious they are.

As TBR Football revealed, Sesko is still deciding between United and Newcastle – that is, after Newcastle’s first bid came in on Monday.

Now, the Red Devils submit their offer, in what is believed to be a statement of intent from the Manchester club.

Exclusive: RB Leipzig no preference after Man Utd bid for Benjamin Sesko

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reveals that United are making it clear to the player their intent to sign amid Newcastle’s interest.

Bailey states: “I think what’s really happening here is that United are putting their money where their mouth is. Let’s not forget – they’ve made it clear that he’s their number one target.

“The reason they’ve done that is to show Sesko just how serious they were from the beginning. That’s why United came out and publicly declared him as their top priority.

In terms of the offer that the Bundesliga side prefers, Bailey states there is seemingly no preference, which works in United’s favour.

Bailey continues: “I’m told that’s not the case. Obviously, every club would prefer the full fee up front – that goes without saying. But with United making an offer of this size, I don’t believe Leipzig will have any particular preference either way.”
