Following Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League, many of their brightest talents are now targets for clubs in the top flight. Leicester City Transfer Update As Trio Are Targets For Top Flight Clubs
Leicester City: Set To Cash In?
As reported by Rob Dorsett, City are looking for major fees for their top talents. The aforementioned trio are all names with links to Premier League sides after impressive performances in recent seasons. However, the club’s stance remains to only sell for lucrative sums as they need to make the most of the talents at their disposal.

Fatawu’s 20 goal contributions in the title-winning campaign under Enzo Maresca suggest his brilliance and led to a permanent move to the King Power that summer for roughly £15 million. Despite missing most of last season due to injury, he still has four years left on his contract and is only 21 years old, which suggests the club will demand a major sum of money. However, with relegation to the second tier and perhaps the ambition of the player increasing, a lower fee may also be likely.
Meanwhile, El Khannouss and Hermansen respectively have valuations of £22 million and £25 million. The Moroccan international has been a target for the likes of Crystal Palace and Leeds United, despite scoring just seven career goals. There has also been a chase for Hermansen between Premier League clubs like West Ham, although the Hammers couldn’t agree on the deal.

The intent not to sell on the cheap is also clear through Conor Coady’s recent departure to Wrexham. Although the centre-back arrived for a fee of £7.5 million and looked set to leave for free, the club ensured they earned £2 million from the deal.
How Will This Affect Leicester City?
Losing three of the club’s biggest stars would be severely detrimental, especially with the league campaign beginning soon. Fatawu was a major part of their success last time in the Championship, alongside Hermansen who tallied 11 clean sheets. In the Premier League, these players shone against tough sides like Tottenham and Arsenal and proved their capability at the top level.
However, it is also positive that the club are demanding big money for their talents. The potential of all three profiles is promising, and certainly a reason to ensure they exit for the right price.

Any of the trio departing would also significantly help fund any new arrivals. Marti Cifuentes has been in the job for several weeks now but has only brought in second-choice keeper Asmir Begovic. Therefore, losing key names would help progress deals for a new striker like Richard Kone.
