Mason Mount has received support from his fellow Manchester United teammates after scoring a goal during the 2-2 draw with Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.

Bruno Fernandes scored the opening goal before Mount restored United’s lead after Iliman Ndiaye had equalised in the first half. Despite the draw, Ruben Amorim's side topped the table and lifted the pre-season trophy ahead of West Ham and Bournemouth.

Mount has racked up valuable minutes ahead of the demanding new Premier League season. He later took to Instagram to share a series of photos from United’s tour of the States, posting them without a caption.

Both Amad and Joshua Zirkzee were spotted in the comments. The latter wrote: "My guy," while Amad simply replied with two love heart emojis.

Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo, Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, Patrick Dorgu, Diogo Dalot, Joshua Zirkzee, Ethan Wheatley and Matthijs de Ligt all liked the post.

Meanwhile, former United first-team coach Benni McCarthy commented: 'My guy. So happy for you, bro." Mount's time at the club has been disrupted by injuries. Last season, he sustained a muscle injury against Manchester City in the Manchester derby and he was sidelined until mid-March.

As a result, he was limited to substitute appearances after returning to the squad last season, but he'll be hoping to stay fit for the new campaign.

Speaking about those injuries back in May, Mount said:"I have had many days at Carrington [United's training ground] sitting on the treatment bed where I want to be training. I've been in the stands watching games where I want to be playing.

"I gave everything to continue my rehab to try and get back and be back as quickly as possible. It has been difficult, but I have learned a lot from these moments. Now I am back and feel a lot better. You really appreciate it more.

"It's been a tough couple of years, but I've stayed very focused so I knew moments like this were going to come and that was always on my mind."
