Benjamin Sesko has reportedly agreed personal terms with both Manchester United and Newcastle United, as the transfer drama over his future drags on.
RB Leipzig have now received offers from both Premier League clubs, following a £65million plus £9m in add-ons bid from the Red Devils, totalling £74m, on Tuesday morning. Newcastle had previously been more assertive in their pursuit, making two official bids to the Bundesliga side.
Leipzig turned down the first offer, which was £65m plus £5m in add-ons, and have yet to respond to the subsequent proposal of a guaranteed £70m plus additional bonuses taking their bid to around £78m in total. A resolution is anticipated shortly as Leipzig consider their options, while United and Newcastle await the final decision from both the club and player.
Sky Germany reports that Sesko has shown he's open to joining either Premier League team by agreeing personal terms with both during recent discussions, despite the fact Newcastle are in the Champions League and United cannot offer European football after their dismal 15th placed finish last season.
The 22-year-old is believed to have reached a full verbal agreement on a long-term contract with both United and Newcastle after his agents finalised the last details on Monday, reports the Express.

It now appears to hinge on which club can reach an agreement with Leipzig, with the Magpies currently offering a higher sum. Earlier reports suggested United would only proceed with a formal bid for Sesko if they were assured of his willingness to join.
The big-money move by the fallen Premier League giants is noteworthy as Ruben Amorim aims to finalise his attacking revamp this summer. He has already forked out a combined £133.5m to secure Wolves forward Matheus Cunha and Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.
United were anticipated to be financially constrained this summer after failing to secure a spot in Europe after they blew a chance of redemption after a horrendous domestic campaign by losing the Europa League final to Tottenham.

There hasn't been a single high-profile permanent departure from Amorim's squad yet, with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia still sidelined at Carrington.
However, United have made significant savings on Marcus Rashford's wages, with Barcelona covering it entirely during his season-long loan spell.

In addition, the Red Devils have raised around £20m from sell-on clauses following Anthony Elanga, Alvaro Fernandez and Maxi Oyedele's respective summer moves.
They are also spreading the cost of Cunha's £62.5m fee over three instalments and Mbeumo's initial £65m price tag across four payments.
Amorim's spending spree may not be over yet, with a midfielder and goalkeeper reportedly still on his shopping list.
