Everton are set to add their fifth addition of the summer in Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The 26-year-old is set to embark on a new chapter under David Moyes after his failed move to West London.
Dewsbury-Hall will sign at Everton for £29m, as Moyes will be pleased he’s almost got a midfielder across the line.
Adding the former Leicester City star’s experience to Everton will be a contributing factor as well, with the Scotsman now having a more attack-minded player.
It appears to be an exciting transfer with Ademola Lookman already a big fan of Dewsbury-Hall, but the player he bases his game on should excite Evertonians even more.

With the Toffees set to add a spark in the middle of the park that they’ve been missing, it’s good to know Dewsbury-Hall looks up to the best.
Speaking to Sportbible in March 2022, the midfielder suggested that Man United icon Paul Scholes was someone he not only looked up to, but also based his overall game on.
“I just think he [Scholes] was a master,” Dewsbury-Hall said.

“He was someone I looked up to growing up. I was always trying to get little things off him and add them to my game. He was always the main man for me. He must have had five or six eyes in his head. Some of the things he used to do, you’d think, ‘how did he see that?’
“He was my idol. It’s always been him, and it always will be. Everything he did was unbelievable. I think he is one of the best midfielders of all time.
“There are parts of our games that are similar as well. We’re both small and we’re both technically sound.”
If this isn’t the big green flag fans were looking for, then you don’t really know what is.
Everton expect an immediate upgrade in Dewsbury-Hall, and his time at Leicester proved how he emulated the 11-time Premier League winner.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall showed shades of Paul Scholes at Leicester City
There can be similarities seen between Scholes and the soon-to-be Everton man, as Dewsbury-Hall has shown these glimpses in his minimal game time for Chelsea.
His composure on the ball is likened to the former United midfielder, but his passing is also top-notch.
It was Leicester where he really showed his quality though, as during the Championship season of 23/24, Dewsbury-Hall found his true calling as an attacking midfielder.

This is something Scholes prided himself on as well, with the Premier League legend no stranger to a goal for the Red Devils.
Dewsbury-Hall has been labelled as ‘fantastic’, and it’s clear to see why, with his ability in the final third clearly improving Everton.
Now, it’s time for the 26-year-old to regain this Leicester form after a slump at Chelsea and show the true spirit of Scholes at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
