As Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall closes in on a move from Chelsea to Everton, the Toffees are also pushing to sign one of the more talented youngsters in English football.
It has been reported that the Toffees have made a significant bid to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, with the Saints asking for £50m to part ways after their relegation.
Despite them finishing bottom of the Premier League, the performances of the 19-year-old stood out and saw him attract interest from a number of top clubs.
Chelsea have held interest in signing Dibling since he announced himself as a Premier League-calibre player, however will be aware that the opportunity to see him regularly at Stamford Bridge has already passed them by.
The Blues agreed a deal to sign Dibling back in 2022, however before the transfer window had even ended he was back at his former club.

Why Tyler Dibling walked out of Chelsea in 2022
The youngster left Chelsea after playing just two academy games for his new side, and according to former coach, David Horseman back in 2024, struggled to make the step up and adapt to the ruthlessness which met him at Cobham.
He said to The Athletic: “You have international after international from the first team down to the under-15s at Chelsea and it is a ruthless environment. Tyler wasn’t ready for it.
“They treat the players properly there, but if you aren’t producing, you aren’t playing. It’s ruthless. It just wasn’t the right time for Tyler, and that is not down to how they would have treated him or his ability. It’s a different set of kids and the culture is different.”

Chelsea didn’t face Dibling when the clubs first met last season due to suspension, however he was used off the bench in the Blues’ 4-0 win in March.
Despite all the hype surrounding him, the numbers from the 2024/25 season do not shine too brightly on Dibling.

Many will argue that he was playing for statistically one of the worst teams in Premier League history, and this will change should he get his big move.
Still being so young, there is plenty of time to see the best of the winger, and Everton will be hoping it is them that benefit from Chelsea’s loss three years ago.
