Newcastle United may not be content with just one striking option at St. James' Park this summer, according to reports - with Eddie Howe and his transfer team reportedly adding Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson to their shortlist of attacking stars that they could potentially bring in.
Jackson was born in 2001, and only turned 24 towards the end of the campaign, but he's become a real handful for the Blues in his short time in England. He's become an important figure in their first-team squad, and his quick adaptability to the Premier League has seen him crop onto Newcastle's shortlist, with the Magpies thought to be weighing up a potential move.

The report from GIVEMESPORT transfer correspondent Ben Jacobs on X (formerly Twitter) states that Jackson is now another name on Newcastle's striker shortlist - a deal that could be done with Chelsea being open to a sale for the Senegalese star.
Jacobs reports that there have already been club-to-club talks over his potential signing, with initial conversations being held over a move to sound out how much the former Villarreal star would cost for the Tyneside outfit.

It's further reported that Brentford star Yoane Wissa is another target, having been on their shortlist throughout the summer, and the Congolese international is pushing to join the Magpies after recording a 19-goal haul for Brentford in the Premier League last season.
Options are being discussed by the Newcastle hierarchy, alongside their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, for whom they are neck-and-neck with Manchester United in the race for the Slovenian striker after submitting a second bid for his services on Monday evening.
Having moved from Senegal to Villarreal's 'B' Team back in 2019, he starred for the La Liga outfit in his first full season at the Estadio de la Ceramica, scoring 17 goals in 44 games in eastern Spain before his move to Chelsea. 14 Premier League strikes in 35 games in his first season at the club saw him become one of the league's most 'special' strikers, and although he only scored 10 in the top-flight last season, his record of just under one goal every two games means he's proven to be a formidable force after their Conference League triumph.
