'Special'- Man United chief has already told fans what to expect from Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United have finally submitted a bid for Benjamin Sesko and there is plenty for fans to get excited about.

It felt as though Manchester United were dropping out of the transfer race when Newcastle made an improved Benjamin Sesko bid on Monday.

However, United have made a £73m Sesko bid of their own in response to the Magpies, and now it seems the decision of where to go will come down to the player.

Reports claim Sesko prefers United over Newcastle, which should give Ineos confidence about getting a deal over the line for the Slovenian star.

United chief Christopher Vivell is a huge fan of Sesko having previously worked with him in the Red Bull Group.

Christopher Vivell explains Benjamin Sesko’s strengths

Earlier this summer, Vivell was given extra responsibilities at United having been given the role as the Director of Recruitment.

Vivell was the technical director at Leipzig when the German outfit signed Sesko back in 2023.

It is understood that Vivell has very much been at the forefront of United’s pursuit of Sesko this summer, having advised that he should be prioritised ahead of the likes of Ollie Watkins.

In Sesko’s Bundesliga profile, a quote from Vivell is included where he talks up the strengths of the 22-year-old Slovenian.

“Benjamin Sesko is among the game’s top young talents and has enormous potential to become a top player,” Vivell said.

“He has all the qualities to do that. He’s extremely quick, has a great jump on him and is strong in the air.

“Benjamin is a real goalscorer, who despite his 1.95m (6’4″) frame, is mobile and technically strong. His abilities make him a special player with a special profile.”

Benjamin Sesko can live up to Erling Haaland comparisons at Man United

United are determined to sign Sesko this summer, and it seems he is a great fit for Amorim’s system.

Sesko is dominant in the air, standing at 6ft 4in, but it is certainly not the only strength in his game.

With a top speed of 35.47 km/h in the Bundesliga, Sesko would be one of United’s quickest players if he joins this summer.

During his time in the Red Bull Group, Sesko has been compared to Haaland considering he also burst onto the scene at Red Bull Salzburg.

If he chooses to join United, Sesko will go head-to-head with Haaland in the Manchester derby, and he will have a chance to prove that the comparisons are accurate.
