Analyst Turns Heads With Jalen Williams Statement

He just received a big contract extension and is now an NBA champion, so the future is obviously very bright for Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Speaking on his show, Jason Timpf made a bold statement about Williams: he might be the greatest small forward in the league right now and could be getting better.

“I think [Jalen Williams] might already be the best small forward in the NBA,” Timpf said, via NBACentral.

Timpf compared Williams to Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics and listed the ways in which Williams is better.

He started with his ability to get to the rim and fight his way to the basket.

He has always been talented with that and showed off his skills while playing during the postseason and in the Finals.

But there are areas for improvement that Williams will pay close attention to in the months ahead.

He will work on his shooting and passing, and Timpf believes that both of those areas of his game will evolve.

That will turn him into an even deeper player, someone who is able to score from all over the court but also find his teammates when they need him most.

The Thunder are obviously the best team in the league right now, so what will an enhanced Williams do for them?

If he improves, they will as well.

For a squad that just won its first championship, this is nothing but great news.

Williams just had a breakout season and earned a ton of praise.

What can he do in 2025-26?
