Everton fans set for Roma disappointment as notable absences from legends game named

Everton fans hoping to see AS Roma legends such as Totti and Daniele De Rossi are set to be disappointed this weekend, as neither will be attending Saturday’s clash.

That’s [according to Roma News](https://www.romanews.eu/esclusiva-rn-roma-legends-totti-e-de-rossi-assenti-illustri-ecco-la-lista-completa-di-chi-ci-sara-nella-sfida-con-leverton/), who report on the notable absentees from the game today ahead of Saturday’s clash with Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton are playing Roma in a normal friendly at their new stadium this weekend, organised by the Friedkin Group, who own both clubs.

After that game there will be a Legends game between the two sides, in which players who have played their part in the history of both clubs will be on display.

There has been some disappointment on the Everton side of matters as certain ‘legends’ have been named over the last few weeks, and it appears any hopes of seeing big-name players from Roma will also be dashed.

Roma News report that there will be several notable absences on the Italian side, including captains Totti and De Rossi as well as other heroes such as Cafu, Emerson, Montella and Batistuta.

Instead, the full squad, managed by Fabio Capello, will be as follows, with Roma News revealing it in full.

_Marco Amelia, Aldair, Francisco Lima, Jonathan Zebina, Federico Balzaretti, Max Tonetto, Alessio Scarchilli. Simone Perrotta, Ricardo Faty, Marco Delvecchio, Vincent Candela, Damiano Tommasi, Jimmy Maini, David Pizarro, Matteo Brighi, Diego Perotti, Aleandro Rosi, Gaetano D’Agostino, Antonio Carlos Zago and Gigi Di Biagio._
