Liverpool see two bids rejected for Crystal Palace star – Won’t be making a third attempt

Crystal Palace have refused two offers from Liverpool for Marc Guehi, who will not force an exit from Selhurst Park this summer.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say Liverpool are still interested in the defender as they continue their major summer rebuild.

According to their information, Liverpool have already submitted two offers to Crystal Palace for Guehi this summer and both were rejected. The amounts offered are not mentioned but the Eagles deemed them to be insulting.

They want at least €55m for their centre-back, despite his contract expiring in a year. Liverpool’s two offers so far must therefore have been below that amount.

FM say there is currently no pressure on Crystal Palace to sell, and Guehi will not change that. He does not intend to push for the move to Anfield and wants to remain respectful to the club.

Liverpool, though, don’t intend to meet the current prices being asked and will now turn their attention to other targets.

They need to find a centre-back to replace Jarrel Quansah, while there are still doubts about Ibrahima Konate as he enters the final year of his deal.
