Bucks Superstar Still Evaluating His Future In Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Bucks were part of one of the biggest moves of the summer when they waived Damian Lillard and acquired Myles Turner.

The decision to do that was reportedly made to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo happy, but did it?

Speaking to ESPN Milwaukee, via NBACentral, Shams Charania said that Antetokounmpo is still weighing all of his options, and his future is completely up in the air.

“I think he’s still in his process of evaluating, asking himself some hard questions. The questions I’ve heard since the day of the Myles Turner trade and the Damian Lillard stretch and waive is, ‘Can I win another championship in Milwaukee? Can I win with this roster, not only next season but in 2026-27?'” Charania said.

The Bucks were very bold when they let Lillard go and grabbed Turner, but it may not have been enough.

Instead of assuring Antetokounmpo and making him excited for the season ahead, he’s still unsure of what’s next.

That puts the Bucks in a bind because they aren’t capable of doing anything else this summer and will have to ride forward with the squad they have.

If Antetokounmpo demands a trade, it’ll shake up the entire league.

The Bucks will have numerous teams calling them and bargaining with just about anything – they will have quite a few options.

They don’t want it to come down to that, but they know that ultimately this choice is Antetokounmpo’s and only Antetokounmpo’s.

A few years ago, they acquired Lillard, hoping that would soothe Antetokounmpo and keep him with the team for years.

Now, a few seasons later, they haven’t moved an inch, and no one knows what will come next.
