Crystal Palace are now keen to sign OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand this summer as Oliver Glasner looks to bolster his squad, according to Football Insider pundit Mick Brown.
The Eagles have had a fairly quiet summer transfer window so far with Walter Benitez and Borna Sosa the only first-team arrivals, while so far the club have been able to keep hold of all their top stars despite strong interest in taking them away from Selhurst Park.
But after Glasner publicly criticised the lack of business so far in this window, the south London club are now pushing to add a new striker to the squad.

Guessand, who has been described as 'elite', has emerged as a top target for Palace this summer as they look to add more goals to the squad ahead of their European campaign.
Brown, who has worked as a scout for Manchester United among others, has now revealed that the club have done their due diligence on the player ahead of a summer move, and he has been told that they are big fans of what he could bring to the team, with summer business expected to ramp up imminently.
“I expect Palace will be busy in the next few weeks.
“I must confess I’ve never seen Guessand play, but from what I’m told, Palace have been looking at him and they like what he could offer to the team.
“They’ll know about his strengths and weaknesses and whether he would be a good fit.
“Once they’ve done their background work, whether they do a deal will depend on what his asking price is and if they think he’s worth it.
“But the interest is definitely there, and they need to start adding to the squad."
Guessand has been linked to a number of clubs this summer, but a move to Saudi has collapsed and no other deals have materialised, which leaves Palace with a good chance of getting the deal done.
Reports earlier in the summer suggested they were 'closing in' on a move for the 24-year-old, and that could now accelerate following Glasner's recent comments.
