Supporters flocked to a sold-out Joie Stadium to watch the men’s and women’s first teams in a special open training session.
City Are Back, presented by Etihad Airways, was a chance to see the players in action on the pitch ahead of the start of the Premier League and Women’s Super League.
Thousands queued ahead of the gates opening before heading to the Kids Zone and an opportunity to meet Moonchester and Moonbeam.

Then on the pitch, they got the chance to see our new signings Jade Rose and Iman Beney for the first time and to hear from new head coach Andree Jeglertz, who received a warm welcome.
And they were not the only new faces that fans saw the first time with Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and James Trafford getting a rapturous response from the crowd.
After a hard-working training session, players from both squads took the time to sign autographs and pose for selfies with the fans.
