Tuesday could be decisive as Manchester United and Newcastle battle for BenjaminŠeško

There could be decisive movement on Benjamin Šeško’s future today as Newcastle United and Manchester United battle it out for him.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who report that both have now made bids for the RB Leipzig striker, and it now rests with the Slovenian.

According to their exclusive information, Newcastle have increased their offer. The Magpies new offer amounts to a total package of €90m. That’s made up of €80m in a fixed transfer fee plus €10m in potential bonuses. Their initial offer was €75m fixed plus €5m in bonuses.

A few hours after that bid was made, Manchester United submitted their initial offer. According to Sky’s information, they are offering €75m plus €10m in bonuses.

What is particularly important is that the striker has verbal agreements with both Newcastle and Manchester United at this moment in time. The decision on where he goes rests with him.

He hasn’t made that decision yet but there is a feeling that Tuesday could be decisive. He trained alone today amid the ongoing transfer speculation.

Leipzig have already planned ahead and have replacements ready for the striker should he leave, which now looks very likely and could happen this week.
