According to Sean Highkin of The Rose Garden Report, there’s growing traction on a potential trade involving Grant. But if he stays in Portland, the veteran forward might have to accept a bench role moving forward.
That would make Grant one of the most expensive reserves in the entire NBA. He’s entering the third season of his five-year deal, which still includes a player option down the line.
Grant's numbers dipped last season as he averaged 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
His shooting efficiency also saw a slide, with 37.3% from the field, although he still shot a respectable 36.5% from three.
