Manchester United and Newcastle United have both reportedly reached a 'full verbal agreement' with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko over a potential move this summer.
Newcastle failed with their first proposal of €75m (£65.5m) plus a further €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons, but they returned to the table with an improved offer.
The Magpies reportedly submitted an improved offer of a guaranteed fee of €80m (£69.7m), with a further €10m (£8.7m) in bonuses.
United need a new striker despite landing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, and they have decided to join the race with a mega bid for the Slovenian international.
The Red Devils have reportedly put forward a package of €75m (£65.2m) plus €10m (£8.69m) in add-ons, as they look to reach an agreement with the Bundesliga club for the coveted striker.

According to Florian Plettenberg, both clubs have reached a complete verbal agreement, and finer details have also been sorted.
All eyes will be on what Sesko decides, and the next few hours are 'decisive' in the transfer race.
While the Magpies can lure him away with the offer of Champions League football, the Red Devils are seemingly of the opinion that the 22-year-old would prefer a move to Old Trafford.
Man Utd to miss out again?

Newcastle lost Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool in the transfer battle earlier this summer, and it would come as a blow for them if they miss out on Sesko, who could be seen as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak if the Swedish striker leaves St James' Park to move to Anfield.
Likewise, Man Utd have tried and failed to lure the likes of Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres this summer, and they hope to get lucky with their transfer pursuit this time around.
Sesko has netted 39 goals in 87 appearances since he joined Leipzig in July 2023, and he would be a stellar signing for either Newcastle or Man Utd.
