Manchester United are pushing to land Benjamin Sesko after launching a bid to rival Newcastle United for the Slovenian hitman.
Ruben Amorim’s attacking revolution isn’t done just yet.
Manchester United snapped up Matheus Cunha earlier this summer, securing an impressive move for the Brazilian ace.
Cunha will slot in as a number 10 for United, and he has been joined by another quality attacker after Bryan Mbeumo finally arrived at Old Trafford.
Amorim wants a completely new-look United attack, though, and that means paying up for a new centre-forward to play ahead of Cunha and Mbeumo.
United have now launched a bid for Benjamin Sesko, with an offer of up to £73million now on the table for the RB Leipzig striker.

Benjamin Sesko trains on his own amid Manchester United bid
The problem for United is that Sesko is also wanted by Newcastle United.
The Magpies have lined up Sesko as a big-money replacement for Alexander Isak, who could complete a move to Liverpool.

United are confident of securing Sesko’s signature, but talks with RB Leipzig continue as the Bundesliga club seek to land the best deal.
RB Leipzig held an open training session in Cottaweg on Tuesday, with more than 1,000 fans attending to watch players ramp up their preparations for the new Bundesliga season.
Sesko was not involved, though, and RB Leipzig have now confirmed that Sesko trained on his own, rather than with the rest of his teammates.
No injury was stated, so RB Leipzig appear to have felt that Sesko would be better off away from the group ahead of a potential move.
United will hope for an answer sooner rather than later, with Amorim surely hoping to have Sesko on board before facing Arsenal in the Premier League opener.
RB Leipzig surprised by Manchester United offer
United’s offer to RB Leipzig was submitted on Tuesday, following days of conversations with the Bundesliga club.
Reporter Sacha Tavolieri claims that RB Leipzig didn’t actually expect United to make such a huge offer.
The Bundesliga side seemingly felt that United wouldn’t have the funds to compete with Newcastle’s bid and were ready to accept the Magpies’ offer.
United have now come to the table and will not allow Newcastle a free run at Sesko’s signature.
Whether United can win the race remains to be seen, but this would be a serious statement of intent from Ineos after securing both Cunha and Mbeumo.
