Manchester United are back in the market for a striker this summer, with Ruben Amorim potentially ready to splash the cash on a goalscorer.
Manchester United’s Premier League campaign is just around the corner, and Ruben Amorim is looking to land a new striker.
United have moved for Benjamin Sesko in the hope of beating Newcastle United to his signature.
United are yet again trying to bring in a new goalscorer for the third summer in a row, having previously landed Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
So many forwards have passed through the club in recent times, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Edinson Cavani, from Odion Ighalo to Wout Weghorst.
Sustained success has eluded many United forwards of late, and Anthony Martial is now teaming up with a former transfer target.

Former Manchester United target Luka Jovic joins forces with Anthony Martial
Martial left United last summer, bringing an end to nine years at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman showed world-class potential in the early stages of his United career, but failed to really live up to that promise.

Martial signed for Greek side AEK, completing a surprise move after his United contract came to an end.
The Frenchman is now being joined by a player who could have become a United teammate back in the summer of 2019.
AEK have snapped up striker Luka Jovic, landing the striker on a permanent deal from AC Milan.
Jovic excelled for Eintracht Frankfurt, earning a huge £52.4million move to Real Madrid in 2019, as reported by Sky Sports.
Jovic was then targeted by United in 2020, with the Serbian enduring a dismal first season with Real.
Edinson Cavani was signed instead, and Jovic was even offered to United in January 2021 before sealing a loan return to Frankfurt.
As noted by Fabrizio Romano, United turned down that chance and moved on from Jovic for good.
More than four years on, Jovic is now heading to join Martial in the AEK attack, forming a potential strike partnership of two strikers who never really fulfilled their potential.
Jovic and Martial could have been United teammates under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but will now look to show their quality together as they team up in Greece.
Manchester United had a lucky escape with Luka Jovic
Interest in Jovic made sense in 2019, as he racked up 25 goals in 49 games for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The move to Madrid was supposed to see Jovic kick on and become a star, but it was a complete disappointment.
Jovic managed just three goals in 51 games for Real, and couldn’t rediscover his goalscoring touch when he rejoined Frankfurt on loan in 2021.
After just four goals in 18 games for Frankfurt, Jovic headed to Italy with Fiorentina, where he scored 13 goals in 50 games – although only six came in Serie A.
AC Milan saw enough to pounce for Jovic in 2023, scoring 13 goals in 47 games for the Italian side.
Now 27, Jovic is on the move once again, and some will be surprised to see him head to Greece at this stage in his career.
Maybe Jovic and Martial can create some magic together, but it’s clear that United had a lucky escape by not signing the Serbian, whose early promise has gone unfulfilled.
