Chelsea have been busy on the selling front this week, but reports around a former transfer target being unsettled may push them to go on the offensive.
Chelsea have been focused on outgoings in the last couple of days, reaching a deal with Everton for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and getting close to an agreement with Burnley for Lesley Ugochukwu.
They have also made it clear that they want to move on from centre-back Axel Disasi, meaning a vacancy could be opening up at centre-half.

And now, reports from Germany suggest a player they have had their eye on may be edging towards a move away.
Chelsea target Kim Min-jae assessing Bayern Munich future
Vincent Kompany has experimented with a number of defensive partnerships at Bayern Munich, and it looks like South Korean centre-back Kim Min-jae may be falling out of favour.
Reporting on the situation for CF Bayern Insider, journalist Christian Falk suggests the defender may look at a change of scenery, saying: “If Kim feels that he’s the clear third-choice option, he’d be prepared to consider a change of scenery in the short term.”
On the club’s stance, he revealed: “From Bayern’s perspective, they can’t rule out the possibility of a sale if a suitable offer lands on their doorstep.”

Kim joined the German giants in the summer of 2023 for £43 million, and has had mixed success under Vincent Kompany. He started 27 games in the league last campaign as Bayern won the Bundesliga title, but the arrival of Jonathan Tah threatens to unseat the 28-year-old.

Chelsea have shown interest in Kim Min-jae
Chelsea made contact with Bayern regarding Kim Min-jae in April, as rumours of discontent began to circulate. They again made contact just a few weeks ago about a potential swap deal with Renato Veiga.
While Kim didn’t perform to his best ability last season, there is definitely a quality player in there.
Despite a dip in form, Chelsea won’t be the only club monitoring the defender who was one of football’s hottest properties back when Bayern pulled the trigger on a deal.
Spurs, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid were also previously interested, and if Kim does want to leave, a bidding war could ensue for what is still a world-class centre-half.
