PL rival 'eye move' for 19-goal Chelsea attacker

West Ham United are reportedly 'keeping tabs' on Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window.

The Blues are looking to offload at least nine players from their current set-up, and have been left off the club's official website ahead of the new season, with Sterling being one of them.

The 30-year-old winger joined from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and has scored 19 goals for the club.

The England international spent the last season on loan at Arsenal, and is likely to be heading for an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer, as he does not have a profile or photo in the senior section of the club's website anymore.

The four-time Premier League winner is training with a group of players away from the rest of Enzo Maresca's first-team squad, but he has no shortage of suitors.

West Ham keen to sign Sterling

According to a report from talkSPORT, the Hammers are one of the clubs showing interest in signing Sterling.

Graham Potter enjoyed a good working relationship with the England winger when he was the manager at Chelsea, and the pair could be reunited this summer.

Sterling scored four goals and added two assists in 20 appearances during Potter's seven-month Chelsea tenure, and he can reignite his career by moving to the London rivals.

Who else could sign Sterling?

According to the latest report from TBR Football, the Hammers could face strong competition from the likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Juventus also want Sterling, while he has been reportedly offered to Serie A giants Napoli in recent weeks.

The report claims that Palace have been informed about the situation, and the Eagles could consider making a move for the former Liverpool attacker.

What must be encouraging for both Palace and West Ham is that Sterling wants to stay in London. With his future at Chelsea as good as over, it remains to be seen if either of the two London clubs will make a concrete offer for him in the coming days.
