Iman Beney says her Euro 2025 exploits can act as a springboard for future success in the Barclays Women’s Super League with City.
The Swiss international joined the Club ahead of the tournament, where her home nation acted as hosts.
They reached the knockout stages for the first time in their history, with the tournament also smashing the competition’s overall attendance record in the process.
Beney returned to action on Monday and is confident that the positive experiences from Euro 2025 will provide a major confidence boost to her ahead of her first season in the WSL.

“It was a fantastic experience hosting the whole tournament [Euro 2025],” she said at the Club’s Open Training session at the Joie Stadium.
“I thought we did well and captured the imagination of the whole of Switzerland and they followed our progress.
“We were only eliminated by Spain, the finalists, and I think that boost of confidence is going to help me going into this season at City.
“It’s going to be a new challenge. It’s totally different to the Swiss league, but it’s something I can’t wait to get started upon. I’m excited by the challenge.”
