This fee isn’t an issue for Al Hilal. AC Milan are keen on a loan and buy option. A loan with an obligation to buy will be key for the Italians to convince Liverpool to do business with them.
If Nunez leaves on loan with an obligation to buy the fee could be £55M. Liverpool would prefer a straight £50M sale.
Al Hilal are reportedly continuing talks with Nunez’s representatives.
It is believed that Nunez prefers to stay in Europe as he prepares for a season heading into a World Cup year. The Uruguayan international will have to hope that a suitable European side can compete with Al Hilal’s offer.
Nunez sees this move as one last opportunity to make a major European move.
