On Stoll, Macdonald said, "It's positive, he's getting better, but we don't know how long it's going to take."
Macdonald had no new update on veteran defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, who has not yet practiced in camp due to a back injury.
As for veteran cornerback Shaquill Griffin, who has been away from the team due to a personal matter, Griffin was back at practice, though not participating, on Tuesday.
"We have a plan for Shaq, he's back," Macdonald said. "He's missed some time, so you can't just throw him in and let him rock with the wolves, so we have a plan, we'll stick to that."
Linebacker Josh Ross is recovering from hand surgery, Macdonald said, and "should be back soon."
Receivers Steven Sims and Montorie Foster Jr. are both dealing with hamstring injuries and are close to returning.
"We're getting closer, probably day-to-day at this point, a couple more days," Macdonald said.
