TBR Football can exclusively confirm how Liverpool star Harvey Elliott feels about the prospect of leaving Anfield amid interest from RB Leipzig.
Liverpool have enjoyed a fruitful summer on the transfer front, signing a multitude of top talents and also doing well in terms of player sales.
Harvey Elliott has gone from strength to strength at Liverpool since joining from Fulham, but he hasn’t managed to nail down a regular first-team spot yet.
Now, with Leipzig making an approach for Elliott, TBR Football can confirm the player’s stance towards a potential switch to the Bundesliga.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that, while Elliott loves Liverpool, he feels he needs to be a regular starter.
Indeed, the 22-year-old feels he has what it takes to break into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Leipzig have rekindled their interest in Elliott as a potential replacement for Xavi Simons, who is wanted by Chelsea.
“Harvey Elliott believes he needs to be playing every week,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“He loves Liverpool but he thinks he can go to the World Cup next summer.
“As we have revealed before, Jurgen Klopp loves him and thinks he is capable of filling that Xavi Simons void.
“Their interest has not gone away, having first made contact in June. But now Simons is close to leaving, they have returned to the table for talks.”

Liverpool’s ‘pure profit’ sales this summer
Liverpool have sold six players so far this summer – Luis Diaz, Tyler Morton, Jarell Quansah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher and Nat Phillips.
The sales of all except Diaz count as ‘pure profit’, which is the revenue generated from selling a player where the full transfer fee is recorded as profit in the club’s accounts, as no prior purchase cost needs to be deducted.
This would likely be the case if Liverpool sell Elliott too, as explained by Kieran Maguire on X in June.
“Given that the fee was only about £4million and Harvey had been at Liverpool for a good few years, his book value will be close to zero,” explained Maguire.
“So sale fee is close to pure profit on disposal, dependent upon sell-on for Fulham.”
Liverpool are said to be able to spend another £200million in the market this summer and still be PSR compliant.
