Once again, Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 in pre-season, this time to Fiorentina and for one player it proved an emotional night.
For 60 minutes, Forest looked like an extremely organised side and created plenty of chances without sticking the ball in the net.
Dan Ndoye signed from Bologna last week, and he looked in fine form alongside another new signing this summer, Igor Jesus.
Nuno Espirito Santo rang the changes on the hour and showcased to the watching Edu and Evangelos Marinakis that more investment in the squad is needed.
For one player in particular, the writing is surely starting to be scribbled on the wall…

Jota Silva close to tears after Nottingham Forest outing
It’s becoming a bit of a saga when it comes to Silva, with the Portuguese player taking part in pre-season.
With Sporting CP linked with Silva, the player does look to be being shoved out rather than leaving of his own accord when it comes to Forest.
Silva came on in the 64th minute of this game as Espirito Santo went with the vast majority of his strongest eleven for the best part of an hour.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Following the game, the players were put through a warm-down session on the pitch, when Silva was spotted looking pretty emotional.
Silva started just five Premier League games last season, and quite clearly, Espirito Santo is keen to recruit better options out wide.
Silva will need to be replaced at Forest
Playing for Forest clearly means a lot to Silva and although he will play more football elsewhere, it feels like time is up at the City Ground.
At 25, Silva will want to play regular football and the hope will be that a new player can arrive at the club before he does eventually depart.
Forest have been linked with Adama Traore from Fulham and that feels like a more suitable option for the Reds given how Espirito Santo likes to play on the counter.
Silva hasn’t really nailed down a place in the Forest team and perhaps when the time does come to move elsewhere there will be a tinge of regret from his point of view.
