The Athletic: £43m rated Chelsea star attracting interest from clubs in three different…

Christopher Nkunku has been given permission the miss start of pre-season training, and is subject to interest from clubs in England, Germany and Italy according to The Athletic.

Nkunku is one of a number of players Chelsea are looking to move on this summer, and the 27-year-old has fallen further down the pecking order with the attacking signings made by the Blues.

Chelsea have been busy revamping their attack this summer, and have signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, whilst both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho could also arrive.

Nkunku given permission to miss start of pre-season

Whilst Chelsea are still working on the deal for Simons, their main priority this week has been on outgoings, and the club have sold both Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Lesley Ugochukwu to Everton and Burnley respectively.

Outgoings are gathering pace, but it might be slightly more difficult to find a new club for Nkunku, although there is interest in the Frenchman.

Inter Milan are thought to be working on a deal for Nkunku, whilst there’s also reportedly interest from both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea are believed to have set their asking price at £43m, and The Athletic have reported Nkunku has been given permission to miss the start of pre-season training.

The report adds the France international is subject to a number of enquiries from clubs in England, Italy and Germany.

Nkunku will likely be the next major outgoing, and things just haven’t worked out for him at Stamford Bridge, and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea do get their asking price.

Chelsea still working on Simons deal

Whilst Nkunku is set to leave Stamford Bridge, the Blues continue to work on a deal for Leipzig attacker Simons, with negotiations thought to be advanced.
