Mohamed Salah 'will leave Liverpool in 2026' as 'bombshell' emerges - report

Mohamed Salah has an ‘offer on the table’ to leave Liverpool next summer for the Saudi Pro League, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.

There is reportedly a growing expectation that Salah 'will leave Liverpool in 2026' and embark on a new challenge, with the Middle East emerging as his most likely destination.

Salah is believed to be ‘seriously considering’ an Anfield exit after the 2025/26 season and a ‘bombshell’ move to Saudi Arabia, where he has already been tempted by offers that are described as ‘hard to refuse’.

The 32-year-old winger’s current contract keeps him at Anfield until the summer of 2027 and is reportedly worth around £400,000 per week, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

According to Fichajes, Salah’s decision to extend his stay at Liverpool has not cooled interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, who remain determined to sign the Egypt international in the future.

Salah scored 34 goals and provided 23 assists in all competitions last season, helping Liverpool win their 20th English league title.

The 32-year-old forward, who joined from Roma in 2017, has won nearly every major trophy with the Reds, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

Liverpool have spent heavily to rebuild their attacking options this summer, welcoming Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike for a combined fee of close to £200m.

The Reds were also targeting Newcastle United frontman Alexander Isak but saw their initial £120m bid rejected by the Magpies and have yet to return with an improved offer.
