**Dylan, what's your thoughts about this Thursday's game?**
"Going out there hoping to win the game, first and foremost. Got out there with a lot of positivity, especially after the weekend and the couple of games before. We missed out in the last couple of minutes last Thursday."
**You really took the game to Midtjylland over there, is it important to do that again?**
"Yes, I think so. No matter what opposition we come up against, we always try to get on the front foot. We did that in Denmark and we got a goal early on from that. If we get that on Thursday night early on, it's always a good sign to start from."
**Despite the disappointing loss late on and after putting so much in, do you take a lot of encouragement from the way you played over those two legs?**
“Yes, we've had numerous meetings about those two legs. Lots of positives to take from those two games, especially with the opposition we were up against. The gaffers have been on in training about how Partizan are going to play. They've embedded in some ideas about how we can go over there and hopefully put on a performance like we did in Denmark a couple of weeks ago on Thursday."
**What did you learn from those two games? Did you enjoy that different style of football?**
“Yes, it was very different to what we've known in the league. It was a bit more... not slow but a bit more tactical and sussing each other out throughout the first half, especially in Denmark anyway.
Once you've seen that first half, you know what to fully expect from Midtjylland. It's a good challenge to have. It's different to what we know up here in Scotland.
**What are you expecting from Partizan in terms of the atmosphere? There'll be a bit of hostility...**
“Yes, it'll be very hostile. A lot of the boys here have played in a lot of big games throughout their career. They might have five, ten, fifteen minutes where they're on top. It's just about grinding through as a team and overcoming that little storm to get yourself into the game. As I said before, all the boys have pretty much had that experience already in their career.
**On a personal level, when you go to a place like that, do you pay attention to the crowd? Do you try to zone out or do you feed off it? Do you prefer the nastier the better?**
“Yes, I don't really pay too much attention to it to be fair.
I used to when I first played in Europe a little bit. But now I've played a couple of games and stuff, you kind of get a gist of what it's like.
**What would you say is the most hostile place you've played in?**
“I've played in Serbia before, Man United in the Youth League before.
It was in Belgrade but it wasn't Partizan, it was a different team. Even though that was an under-19s game, it was still very hostile I remember.
"But like I said, all the boys in here have probably played in a lot of games that have been like that and had a lot of experience. Whether that's with Hibs, other teams or international."
**When you say hostile, just noisy?**
“Yes, just noisy, make it difficult. Obviously, there might be stuff going into the game, maybe stuff like that, you don't know. But yes, just try and make it difficult to get a result over there."
**The manager has always talked about the good team spirit you guys have in the close-up. When you go away to a place together, it's just you against everything. Is that where the team spirit and the trust you have in each other comes through?**
“Yes, it's got to. I think, obviously, going over there as a team, throughout the whole team, staff included, we know what we've got in the dressing room and we know that going over there is going to be difficult and we're going to need everyone to stick together out there.
**The team seem to have a lot of trust in other for these games, as in trusting each other to take the ball, etc...**
“Yes, it's pretty much what I was going to say. You have to be brave in these games, especially in possession.
“Because if you do get the in-possession bits right, you'll get chances. We've done that in Denmark and in [Easter Road](https://www.hibsobserver.co.uk/topics/easter-road/) on Thursday, we've done that as well.
“It's about being brave and really taking the game to them. I think in the first game in Denmark, we really done that."
**Watching the team, they say a lot of that responsibility seems to come through you to get on the ball and play. How much do you enjoy that responsibility?**
“Yes, I really enjoy it. For me personally, I just want to be on the ball as much as possible and drive the team forward.
"Obviously, when the time is right to keep the ball and take the sting out of the game, that's going to be massive over there as well. To try and frustrate them and try and settle the game down a lot, because it's going to be quite frantic at times.
"I think we've shown in Denmark, especially on the counter-attack as well, that when we win the ball, the transition has been really good. It's just about getting that final bit."
**You need to be streetwise in these games too, I suppose...**
“Yes, you need to be fully switched on and focused throughout the whole game. Whether that's from the lads at the back communicating to you from behind or whether you're communicating to the forwards.
"You just have to be on the same page and kind of the same wavelength throughout the game, whether that's in position or out of position."
**You talk about the crowd over there, I suppose it's all part of the European package...**
“Yes, I think for all the work we've done last year, these are the moments that we worked hard for, especially to play in Europe and big crowds and big games.
For everyone's career in football, you really want to work hard to get to European competitions and play in Europe and big games. I think you've pretty much said it all.
**How did that game with Man United end up going?**
"I think we ended up winning 2-0. I think it was just a qualifying round of 16. Just one game I think it was at the time. It was good. I only remember it briefly.
“It was quite a few years ago now, but I remember coming on in that game and it was quite tough."
**If you won 3-1, did you just want to take the sting out of the crowd early?**
“Yes, I think we scored quite early on and kind of took the sting out of the game, like you said. Obviously, when they're getting frustrated, they try and come out and obviously you've got a lot of space to play football in. I think that's what we did early on."
**How old were you at the time?**
"About 17 or 18 I think. I don't know now, but I want to say about 18."
**It must have been such a unique experience at that age...**
"Yeah, if I remember rightly, I think it was on top of a shopping centre at the stadium. AstroTurf.
“A massive wall around the side. That's all I remember at the time. Obviously, the noise, even in an under-19s game, it's quite special to play."
**Were you warned that's what it would be like before you went over?**
"Not really. Back then, it was like, just go out there and pretty much try and win the game and try and just do what you normally do. But back then, I think we scored really early on in the first half and it kind of took the sting out of the game and quietened the crowd."
**You've got the likes of Josh Mulligan and Jamie McGrath in that midfield with you now, and they seem to have settled well. How is it playing alongside these guys?**
“Yeah, really good. I enjoyed the first of many games this season. Obviously, I've played with Jamie before. I got on really well with Jamie.
“I think we're on the same wavelength on that left side as well, I think he knows how to pick up little spaces and obviously getting to know Josh as well has been really good.
“He's really helped me, especially letting me try and get on the ball. He's obviously more of a runner and gets in the box and tries to score his goals. I'm really enjoying playing alongside them."
**You're into the last year of his contract, have you any discussions around that?**
"No, I've not heard anything."
**Are you happy playing your football here?**
“Yeah, I'm really happy. Probably since January, I've probably really enjoyed it. throughout the last six or seven months I've been here.
“Especially since that run we went on last season, obviously, playing games in Europe is massive for me."
