Manchester United are closing in on a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
It appears Manchester United are in pole position to win the race for top striker target Benjamin Sesko.
The latest update comes via David Ornstein, who reports that despite Newcastle’s aggressive approach, Sesko wants to join Manchester United.

Benjamin Sesko latest
Manchester United are the frontrunners for Benjamin Sesko’s signature as decision-time nears.
David Ornstein reports: “Manchester United closing in on deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. #RBLeipzig accepted €82.5m + €2.5m bid from Newcastle United but 22yo striker wants #MUFC.
“No club-to-club agreement yet but talks advancing towards conclusion.”
Manchester United submitted an offer for Benjamin Sesko on August 5, totalling £73 million including add-ons.

This is slightly below Newcastle’s bid, yet it is Benjamin Sesko who will dictate his next club and not RB Leipzig.
Ornstein suggests an agreement will be found between Manchester United and Newcastle in due course.
Newcastle push has hurried Man Utd along
Manchester United fans might end up with Newcastle to thank if this deal is concluded over the next week.
United can be slow movers in the transfer market, evidenced by the drawn out Bryan Mbeumo negotiations.
Newcastle have pushed hard to get the deal done themselves, and this has sprung Manchester United into action and forced Ineos to act quicker than they might have done otherwise.
