Newcastle agree new three-year sponsorship deal – Report

Ever since the 2021 takeover, it does feel like that Newcastle United are yet to truly make the most of sponsorship opportunities.

Though we have partnerships with the likes of Monster and Red Bull, as well as PIF-related brands like Noon and Sela, a truly big, and financially-lucrative name has been needed for some time.

Fans and the media have stressed just how important it is that we join the Premier League’s elite in embracing these bigger corporate opportunities.

And images from our recent tour of South Korea seem to hint of a big sponsorship deal has been struck for the club…

It looks like we’ve secured a major deal with Guinness, adding another commercial sponsorship to the club’s portfolio ahead of the 2025/26 season.

For fans in attendance at one of our events in South Korea, as part of last week’s tour of Asia, they could enjoy a free pint of Guinness with either Shay Given or Shola Ameobi on the heads of the beer.

According to The Chronicle, this was all linked to a new three year deal Newcastle have struck with Guinness, who are already the ‘Official Beer Sponsor’ of the Premier League.

Guinness’ strategy was to pick two different sides as their partner clubs here: ourselves in the North of England, and Arsenal representing the South.

So far, there’s no word on just how much revenue we’re generating from this deal, but it’s good to see another high-profile commercial deal agreed.

One of the most-recognised drinks sponsorships in the top flight is Asahi’s relationship with Manchester City.

The Japanese brand is the ‘Global Beer Partner’ of the entire City Football Group, and can be seen fashioned on the front of the Cityzens’ training kits.

A sponsor similar to Guinness, harkening back to the iconic Brown Ale days, would be an easy win for the club’s owners to win over the fans and show that we’ve not forgotten to secure commercial opportunities.

Our current deal with front-of-shirt sponsor Sela is worth a reported £25m per year, so anything even remotely close to that across other aspects of the club would be a huge benefit.
