Manchester United are looking to add Benjamin Sesko to Ruben Amorim's squad this summer and if a deal is completed for the striker attention is then likely to turn to sales

Manchester United will have a new transfer priority if a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko is completed.
Signing the Slovenian striker will eat up a large chunk of available funds for Ruben Amorim, and United will need to be mindful of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). So far this summer, the Reds have only managed to offload Marcus Rashford on loan to Barcelona.
The Catalan club are paying 100 per cent of Rashford's wages during his 12-month loan spell and have the option to sign him on a permanent deal. The deal is thought to save United around £12million and that will no doubt play a role in their ability to afford a move for Sesko.
But where would the arrival of RB Leipzig's star forward leave the struggling Rasmus Hojlund? United's Danish striker has looked completely out of his depth across much of the past few seasons since joining from Atalanta in August 2023.
Tuesday marks the two-year anniversary since his signing at M16 was announced. Much has changed since then for both club and player - with both seemingly at odds with what they now want.
The Manchester Evening News understands that United want £30m for Hojlund, whose value under PSR is £38.4m. However, it is understood that the Reds are conscious that no interested club would meet that valuation and are ready to accept a lower fee to try and sell him.
The player himself meanwhile appears less keen to leave. Hojlund insisted during United's recent pre-season tour that he intends to stay at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Alejandro Garnacho continues to be linked with a move away. The MEN reported earlier this summer that Amorim had told the 21-year-old he could leave the club.
It follows Garnacho's complaint about not getting enough playing time in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in May.
Serie A champions Napoli and English top-flight rivals Chelsea have shown the most interest as he continues to train away from the senior squad. However, neither club has made a move so far.
If United can sell both players, then the Reds could receive a much-needed £60m cash boost after potentially spending over £70m on Sesko. Signing a new midfielder should then be where United turn to although time is running out before the summer window closes on September 1.
