Swoop considered for Liverpool player as frustrations with Manchester City grow

According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are showing interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

With the departure of Dominik Livaković, it’s been widely reported Jose Mourinho wants to bring in an experienced No.1 and the Portuguese coach has now turned his attention to Alisson.

[Sabah](https://www.sabah.com.tr/) today report on Fenerbahce’s pursuit for the Liverpool player after becoming frustrated in their attempts to sign Manchester City’s Ederson.

Manchester City reportedly are looking for €20m for the 31-year-old and this has not only deterred Fenerbahce, but also their local rivals Galatasaray. There have been reports both Istanbul clubs are prepared to meet the player’s personal terms but won’t also pay the requested fee.

Subsequently, the Yellow Canaries are now looking to target Alisson, with claims the Brazil international has been offered to them. At this stage there are no reports of transfer talks or offers being lined up.

Last summer, the Anfield club secured Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, where he remained on loan. Whether he or Alisson will be first choice going forward remains to be seen, but neither man will be content playing back-up.

Alisson made 35 appearances last season and is contracted to the Reds until 2027.
