Liverpool are yet to reach an agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal over a permanent deal for Darwin Nunez.
Reports on Wednesday morning claimed a verbal agreement had been reached for Nunez to join Al-Hilal on a permanent basis.
However This Is Anfield understands there has been no club-to-club contact over a deal at this stage.
Liverpool will consider offers for their No. 9 following the signing of Hugo Ekitike but claims of an imminent switch to Saudi Arabia are premature.
The club are however aware of interest from both Al-Hilal and AC Milan, but Nunez was still involved in the 4-1 friendly win over Athletic Club at Anfield on Monday.

Scoring the second goal in an early flurry of goals, Nunez appeared to bid farewell to supporters at the stadium when he was brought off late on for Lewis Koumas.
Nunez shared a number of photos on X along with a simple caption of a love heart emoji, which has been interpreted as an early farewell to the fans who have always backed him in the stadium.
Liverpool continue to be in contention to land Newcastle‘s Alexander Isak, even after signing Ekitike, and a potential British record transfer would force the Uruguayan further down the pecking order.
The Magpies have hit a hurdle in their replacement search, however, after seeing Benjamin Sesko choose Man United over a move to St James’ Park, with other alternatives now likely to be pursued.
Newcastle had a bid worth up to £74 million accepted by Leipzig, but the player has made it known he prefers a switch to Old Trafford, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
