The 2025/26 Premier League season is almost upon us and it should be a really exciting season for Everton.
The Friedkin Group are ready to spend big in the remaining few weeks of the summer transfer window, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall set to become Everton’s fifth signing of the summer.
The Toffees are also in talks to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, however, there is currently a gap in valuations.
That could see David Moyes and his chiefs turn to Jack Grealish, who has been made surplus to requirements by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
If they manage to get these deals over the line, then quite clearly it promises to be a productive season on Merseyside.
With that said, though, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted Everton to finish surprisingly low down in the table.

Supercomputer predicts Everton to finish in 13th
When Moyes took over in January, Everton were languishing towards the bottom of the Premier League, near the relegation zone.
But the Scotsman managed to completely turn their fortunes around, and actually, based on the form table, they would’ve finished in ninth place had he been there from August.

As such, there is a different expectation around Finch Farm this season, with James Garner admitting Everton should finish in the top 10.
But, quite surprisingly, despite an influx of encouraging signings, Opta’s supercomputer has the Toffees to finish in the bottom half of the table.
The technology has predicted Moyes’ men to finish in 13th place, below the likes of Brentford and Nottingham Forest, but above Tottenham Hotspur.

David Moyes wants to aim for a European finish
Moyes has made no secret of his ambitions for Everton.
The Scotsman has made it very clear that he doesn’t want to settle for mid-table mediocrity, he wants to push for Europe like he did at West Ham United.
“We had an incredible time at West Ham and winning a European trophy,” Moyes explained to BBC Sport. ”But now back at Everton, I’ve got to try and set the same sort of sights for Everton as well.
“In the early parts of my career when I was Everton manager, we did get to Europe quite regularly and it has to be, I feel as if it has to be a target for us.
“We have an exciting new stadium to move to, lots of good things happening, new owners coming in. Maybe we can’t do it too quickly, but we have to aim to get back to those levels.”
