Sunderland AFC have agreed a new deal for Spain youth international forward Eliezer Mayenda until June 2030, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris does not only want the Black Cats to bring new players to the Stadium of Light club following Premier League promotion.
He also wants his best stars from last term to be rewarded with new deals, and Mayenda is set to commit his future to the club despite attracting suitors from across Europe.

It is a huge boost for Sunderland as they look to establish themselves as a mainstay in the English top-flight, and the 20-year-old will be desperate to prove his quality in the best league in the world.
Mayenda ended last term with ten goals and five assists in 42 games to help the Black Cats seal promotion, and he needs to do much more if he wants to help his side retain their Premier League status at the end of 2025-26.
His dribbling and impressive passing abilities have come in handy in the past, and he now needs to replicate them at the top level.
Sunderland have added Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, Chemsdine Talbi, Simon Adingra, Granit Xhaka and Robin Roefs to their squad so far this summer and are closing in on a loan deal for Chelsea striker Marc Guiu.
More additions could be on the way as they look to hit the ground running when their campaign kicks off at home against West Ham United on August 16, but getting a player like Mayenda to sign a contract extension is equally huge.
He joined the Black Cats from Sochaux in the summer of 2023, signing a five-year contract, and he was loaned out to Scottish Premiership club Hibernian in February 2024.
