Wrexham are continuing to splash the cash just days away from their Championship season opener.
Phil Parkinson’s side face a tough trip to Southampton first up and are having to gel a number of new teammates together.
Wrexham completed the signing of Kieffer Moore to make it eight new faces through the door at the Racecourse Ground already this summer.
The Red Dragons are not finished with their business just yet, Wrexham are interested in Lewis Koumas on loan from Liverpool and Wrexham Insider has assessed the impact that Koumas would have on the current squad.

Winners from a potential Lewis Koumas transfer to Wrexham
Phil Parkinson
A move for Koumas would be another sign that Parkinson is adapting to what it takes to be successful in the Championship.
His signings so far this summer could suggest that he is open to the idea of changing systems at different points this season and Koumas is another indicator of that.
Apart from Arthur Okonkwo’s first season at the club, Wrexham have not made any loan signings under Parkinson and a move for one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents would be a smart one from the Wrexham boss.

It would show that Parkinson is ready to stand up to the critics that believe his style of play and an ‘old-fashioned’ approach won’t cut it in the Championship.
Ryan Hardie
In the few pre-season games that Ryan Hardie has played for Wrexham so far, it is clear how he is going to fit into the side.
Hardie has been on the shoulder of the last defender at all times and makes very intelligent runs in behind the opposition defence.
The problem so far has been finding him with quality and Koumas is a player that possesses that in abundance.
Coming through the academy at Liverpool, Koumas has shown he has incredible technique and an eye for a pass that only comes natural to a player.

Josh Windass
Josh Windass has been brought to Wrexham to provide goals and assists. The 32-year-old will be more than comfortable shouldering that responsibility having proved he can deliver in the past.
However, it may take some time for Windass to settle in at the club and get used to the movements of his new teammates – success may not come straight away.
Having another creative force like Koumas in the squad means that Windass can relax a little in knowing the burden isn’t solely on his shoulders.
Losers from a potential Lewis Koumas transfer to Wrexham
Liberato Cacace
Liberato Cacace’s versatility could be a disadvantage this season. The New Zealand international made his debut against Groningen at left wing-back and this is where many expect him to be deployed this season.
However, Cacace also played a lot of football in an attacking midfield role for Empoli and the arrival of Koumas would mean another player is in his path for that position.
James McClean will fancy his chances of holding Cacace off at left wing back and all of a sudden, the new arrival is being used as a utility man rather than cementing down a regular spot in the side.

Elliot Lee
Elliot Lee’s exit from the club looks increasingly likely the more the transfer window progresses this summer.
Wrexham fans have already had to deal with the departure of Paul Mullin and there is a growing fear that further club legends could be about to follow.
Lee is way down the pecking order in Wrexham’s midfield options and Koumas would be another addition that pushes the 30-year-old further away from Parkinson’s plans.
The club’s rapid progression has meant that some players have had to fall by the wayside and it would be no surprise if Lee was to take the next step in his career in the coming weeks of the window.
