Premier League champions Liverpool defeated Spanish side Athletic Bilbao 3-2 on Monday in their final friendly of the summer.
Mohamed Salah put the hosts ahead before Cody Gakpo netted twice – as well as scoring an own goal – as the Reds finished their pre-season campaign on a positive note before the Community Shield next weekend.
Arne Slot’s side face Crystal Palace in the season curtain-raiser at Wembley, before hosting Bournemouth on the opening night of the new league campaign.
The Premier League holders have added a number of players to Slot’s squad this summer, including Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, but it appears that one of their most important players could depart the club in the not too distant future.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes via GiveMeSport, clubs in the Saudi Pro League remain determined to sign Mohamed Salah and could move to lure him to the Middle East next summer.

The Egyptian has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia over the past couple of seasons, although speculation cooled when he signed a new contract with Liverpool back in April.
That deal – earning him £400,000-per-week, is set to expire in 2027, but the report claims that Pro League clubs remain adamant that they want to sign Salah and have already put offers on the table for the forward to move next summer.
Salah, 33, joined the Reds from Italian side Roma in 2017 and has since established himself as one of the best players in world football, scoring a staggering 245 goals in 401 games for the club across all competitions, as well as providing 113 assists.
Last term he scored 29 goals and registered 18 assists during a staggering Premier League campaign, helping Slot’s side to the title.
