The final weeks before the season begins is an interesting time for clubs. Leeds United are set to be a part of the teams struggling to finish their summer business before the Premier League kicks off.
Daniel Farke has recently asked the club to finish their business on a good note. Despite signing seven players, the Leeds boss is expected to add a few more after recent developments. Injury problems in the squad, and potential departures have now unsettled the plans of the team with less than two weeks till the club’s return to the top flight.

Per reports from Turkey, Manchester United have set their sights on Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara. The Brazilian was linked with a move to Leeds United recently.
Sara is expected to have a lot of suitors this summer as he provided eight assists in the Turkish league last season. Local outlet Takvim are now reporting that the Premier League side are preparing a £40million offer for the Brazilian star. Galatasaray are not keen on a sale this summer, but could be convinced to move the midfielder if the price is right.
Daniel Farke content with midfield core
It is very likely that the reason Leeds decided not to move forward with an approach for Gabriel Sara is Daniel Farke. The Leeds United boss has already spent a significant amount adding depth to the midfield. And with the pending change of system, the number of options matches the roles available.
Farke even admitted that he was ‘done’ with the midfield this summer:
“So for me, it’s important that the core bones of the group are there right now. So that means the central defence, also the central midfield is more or less sorted.”
Leeds lose another transfer target
Wednesday did not start off with good news for Leeds United. Reports from Portugal have confirmed that Jota Silva is set to join Sporting CP. Leeds were keen on adding the Nottingham Forest man as he was a decent quality to provide depth in attack, he also had a very attainable asking price. But now, Forest and Sporting CP are having discussions to finalize the details of the transfer.
Jota Silva was a decent squad player for the Premier League side last season, scoring three goals and providing an assist in 31 appearances.
